Barber store in Kuala Lumpur investigated for over-charging foreigners

Malaysia is investigating a declare by a British couple who stated they have been charged RM120 (US$27) for a haircut in Kuala Lumpur.

An indication outdoors the barber store marketed haircuts “from RM19”, in response to The Strait Instances.

If the allegation is true, the barber could possibly be fined for violating anti-profiteering legislation. This aligns with the Malaysian authorities’s makes an attempt to “supply the most effective companies and cheap costs, as a vacationer vacation spot,” as said by Salahuddin Ayub, Malaysia’s Home Commerce and Value of Residing Minister, in an interview with the media.

On Monday, the TikTok account Zoe&Czar, owned by the couple, uploaded a video that confirmed them in a dispute with a barber after he charged Czar RM120 for a haircut.

Locals they requested instructed them that the value shouldn’t be greater than RM50.
