
Phnom Penh (VNA) – The Mekong Tourism Discussion board
2023 opened in Cambodia‘s southwestern port metropolis of Sihanoukville this week, attracting
some 250 delegates from 19 international locations and areas.
The 2-day discussion board, hosted by Cambodia’s Tourism
Ministry with the theme of “Rethinking for Resilience and Digitalization,”
served as a discussion board for regional tourism stakeholders to debate methods to
increase the event of the regional tourism trade within the post-pandemic
period.
Tourism Minister Thong Khon stated that is the third
time that Cambodia has hosted the discussion board, which is important for tourism insiders to
share finest practices, experiences, and present standing of tourism growth
inside the Larger Mekong Subregion (GMS).
The minister famous his hope that key stakeholders from
private and non-private sectors gathering collectively in the present day will create a singular
