– The Division of Agriculture and Rural Improvement of
the south-central coastal province of Khanh Hoa, in collaboration with Khanh Hoa
Newspaper and DVA GROUP, on April 27 introduced nationwide flags to native fishermen
who typically work offshore in an effort to encourage them sustaining their operation at sea.

As many as 3,000 flags had been handed over to representatives of fisheries
commerce unions of communes and wards of Nha Trang metropolis throughout a ceremony held at Hon Ro – the most important fishing port within the south-central area.

The programme aimed to name on fishermen to hitch palms in
defending the nation’s sovereignty over sea and islands.

Vice Chairman of Vinh Phuoc
Fisheries Commerce Union Nguyen Tan Lau thanked the organisers and sponsors for
the reward, saying that the flags are significant to fishermen as they encourage them
to proceed offshore journeys, contributing to affirming the nationwide sovereignty.

Khanh Hoa fishermen will nicely observe authorized rules on
exploiting and defending aquatic sources, and combating unlawful fishing, and
not violating international waters and
fishing rules, he stated.

On
the event, the organisers additionally introduced 30 reward packages to fishermen with troublesome
circumstances in Nha Trang metropolis./.
